Caribbean Airlines joins T&T recycling initiative

CAL’s Director Marketing & Corporate Communications Laura Asbjornsen with the Mayor of Port of Spain Murchison Brown at the Caribbean Airlines We/Can recycling unit at the Queen’s Park Savannah
Earlier this week, Caribbean Airlines (CAL) became the 11th corporate partner to come on board with the We/Can initiative, launched by Mayor of Port of Spain Murchison Brown.

The units sponsored by CAL are located on Independence Square opposite the airlines’ central ticket office at Nicholas Tower and around the Queen’s Park Savannah in Port of Spain.

"Partnering with the We/Can initiative helps us to deliver on our commitment to the improvement of our country’s environmental well-being. Caribbean Airlines is supportive of any initiative that not only promotes education about the importance of recycling but actually ensures that something is being done. This, together with our involvement in various sustainable activities such as the Carbon Neutral project ensures that the airline is doing its part to promote
environmental awareness across the region," explained CAL Director Marketing & Corporate Communications Laura Asbjornsen.

Mayor Brown has been supportive of the We/Can initiative, which has been expanding throughout the capital city. Administrators have given the assurance that all the collected waste are properly processed, ensuring that the respective materials are properly recycled.
